Q&A with Jennifer Pollard of Billie Grand Jewellery

Jennifer is the founder of contemporary jewellery brand, Billie Grand.
Swirled lines and sculptural form combine to create statement pieces in Sterling Silver and 18ct Gold Vermeil.
Each piece is handmade by Jennifer in her studio in London.

Where do you live: In Stockwell, South London
Where do you work: From my studio at home
How did you get into jewellery making? I’ve been jewellery obsessed since I was very young, all that jingly noise and sparkle. I started making my own when I was looking for a specific bracelet I had in mind. I couldn’t find it so I thought OK, I’ll make it myself. I enrolled onto a course and I was hooked!
What item of food best describes your personality? A spicy Thai Curry.  Some zest and some fire.
Favourite thing to do on your day off (apart from sleep!):  Enjoying London’s Art in all its forms.  Hot Yoga and a good margarita with my girl friends.
What Polka’s do you have: The leopards x Gizzi Erskine, the Signature White and the most recent to the collection is Black on Black. The Classic Houndstooth are next on my list!
Top recommendation for food in your city:  As I’m flying the flag for South London, Casse Croute in Bermondsey is very delicious and cosy. Salon in Brixton market never disappoints. And Brunswick House in Vauxhall for the food, but also the interior is quite something.
Biggest inspiration: My late Grandmother, Billie. As the namesake for my business, she’s been my inspiration from the start. A bold, sassy Welsh woman with an entrepreneurial spirit.
